The 3-layer tag strategy
Layer 1 — Exact match (3 tags): Your most important keyword phrase, split into buyer-intent variations. If your product is "funny cat mug", use: "funny cat mug", "cat lover gift", "cat coffee mug".
Layer 2 — Audience tags (4 tags): Who buys this? "cat mom gift", "gift for cat lover", "cat owner gift", "crazy cat lady gift".
